Read the Bible: Start with the gospel of John. Have a teachable spirit; for the heart that is willing to receive, the Bible is our central means of direction in understanding the heart of God. It is the final authority and source of life-guidance calling us to a faith-filled obedient godly lifestyle. (Acts 2:42, Ephesians 4:13)
Pray: The Lord Jesus Christ taught us to pray. “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.” (Matthew 6:9) You are now a child of the Heavenly Father, so talk with Him often about everything: joys, sorrows, problems, and successes.
Connect with a local church family: Check out Home Fellowships. A basic need of individuals is a healthy relationship within a community. The developing of relationships is vital for spiritual, mental and emotional health (Acts 2:42) Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another. (Hebrews 10:25)
Be Water Baptized: “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.” (Acts 2:38) You can talk to one of the staff or use a Connection Card to set up a time to be baptized in water.
Decide to grow in your faith: Sign up for Operation Solid Lives — Level 1. This class is a foundations for Christian living practicum. “Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not be ashamed , rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15)
Seek the Baptism of the Holy Spirit: “But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you; and you will be My witnesses...” (Acts 1:8)
